Erin O’Toole is Counsel to Regent Law and is dedicated to providing advice to clients on corporate law matters when his schedule permits.
Erin has a decade of experience in advising clients in both the large national law firm setting and as in-house counsel to one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies. His experience includes product liability, insolvency and class action litigation as well as providing advice with respect to competition law and general commercial law matters. He developed an innovative brand protection program to prevent and prosecute copyright and trade-mark infringement issues and has provided advice with respect to consumer protection and recall situations. His in-house experience helps bring a solution-focused approach to business challenges and led to his selection as a finalist in the Tomorrow’s Leader category of the 2009 Canadian General Counsel Awards.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. O’Toole served as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces for twelve years. He was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration at the end of his service. After leaving the military, he became very active in causes related to veterans and military families, including co-founding the True Patriot Love Foundation in 2009. Mr. O’Toole previously practiced law with the Chairman of our firm at one of Canada’s largest firms and together they worked in many efforts related to supporting those who serve in uniform.
